This series invites the viewer on a journey of discovery for all the senses, by looking into the kitchens of local families we immerse ourselves into the different cultures of Europe.

We look for regional specialities and go to markets, cheese dairies and wine cellars, to farmers, shepherds, fishermen and craftsmen. We do not devote ourselves to the “Haute Cuisine”, but to the typical cooking of each area. The main characters of the films are “normal” cooks in their usual environment. With their help the films not only offer original recipes to follow, but also give an insight into the traditions, everyday life, and history of a place, where their families have lived for centuries.
